Frustrated with diminishing student satisfaction and a lack of course improvement, Hayden founded ClassRanked in 2018 while attending Duke University. His goal: improve experiences and outcomes for all students. Prior to starting ClassRanked, Hayden worked on product and venture teams at several startups and companies such as IBM and Sequoia Capital.
Hayden holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Duke University.
In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, playing pickleball, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
Before joining ClassRanked, David provided engineering leadership at startups and Fortune 500 companies. Now, he leads architecture and product development for ClassRanked.
A graduate of the University of Utah, he earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s in business administration.
Outside of work, David is a true nerd at heart — think video games, Star Wars, and Dungeons and Dragons — but he also enjoys ballet and the arts, as well as going on outdoor adventures with his wife and kids.
Kyle leads product for ClassRanked. His professional background is a blend of instructional design, product management, and education research.
In his spare time, Kyle enjoys e-biking, sailing remote-control boats, and playing Nintendo with his kids.
Kyle holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and master’s in Instructional Psychology and Technology from Brigham Young University.
He has a passion for EdTech and an ever-growing collection of MECC’s classic, “The Oregon Trail”, memorabilia.
As ClassRanked sales lead, Melissa Helvey is focused on growing customer relationships and ensuring our customer’s needs are heard and met. She also works to grow awareness of ClassRanked across the Higher Education market.
Melissa holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a post-baccalaureate in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University.
A dedicated athlete, Melissa enjoys running, hiking, and stair climbing. Her current favorite read is Blue Ocean Strategy by W. Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne.
